In one of the oldest buildings in the city center of Gothenburg, dating back from the early 17th century, Östersjösten has opened their second office and showroom. It was a natural step to continue to work with the open floor plan concept as in the Stockholm showroom, although here the space is semi divided by several sets of arches that creates small vaults forming the foundation of the building. Suitable for its purpose, the original limestone floor was kept and the vaults was given a set of fresh paint. The space; housing one co-worker, a lounge area, a mood table as well as a display wall for the stones, is soft and inviting with contemporary furniture, balancing the echoes from the past into todays modern way of life.
