Dreams are made of Viola
Östermalm, Stockholm
This bathroom, originally a bedroom, features an old classical Swedish tiled fireplace dating back to the late 1800s, when the house was built. There was a request to preserve the original details while adding a contemporary touch. The room was cladded with Calacatta Viola marble on the floor and up to two meters on the walls, balancing the strict layout with a playful approach. The main focal point in the room is the grand bathtub and the all-marble vanity adorned with brass hardware . A large window floods the room with natural light, enhancing the bright and airy ambiance. The white walls contribute to the fresh, crisp feel, making the space inviting and serene. The careful integration of modern elements with historical charm creates a unique and luxurious atmosphere. The blend of textures and materials, from the rich marble to the gleaming brass, adds depth and character to the bathroom, making it not just a functional space but also a retreat for relaxation and rejuvenation.
